First, click the “Schedule” link in the menu at the top of the page.
Next, click the link for the language you will use to lead a session (your native language) and log in.
Choose a date and time and click the appropriate slot on the calendar. A pop-up window will appear.
Complete the following fields:
When — include start time and end time; remember, free ZOOM sessions last 40 minutes
Title — put the language that will be practiced AND put your name, based on your email address (example: “English with SarahK95”)
Description — list details including (1) the skill level in that language, (2) the accent/dialect/style, and (3) the topic that will be discussed (4) any preparation learners should do
Repeat — “None”; each lesson should be scheduled as a one-time event
Capacity — “6” is the maximum recommended number of learners in a session
Finally, click “Create Slot.” Now other Language Barter users can begin to sign up to participate in your session.
As users sign up for your session, you will see their names and email addresses.
